Adopt a Red-Eared Slider

Red-Eared Slider Turtle

Trip the Turtle needs a home

Trip is a young adult red-eared slider. He is currently 5-6 inches long and requires a large tank (55 gallons or more) or pond to live in. He will be about 12 inches long fully-grown. Trip was in an accident and ended up having a leg amputated, making him a tripod, but he still gets around just fine. There is no adoption fee.

Red-eared sliders are native to Indiana but do not require a permit to own. You may not own more than 4 RES. Our turtles are not able to survive on their own in the wild. Please see the DNR website for more information: http://www.state.in.us/dnr/fishwild/3328.htm

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application online at http://www.acritterschance.org/Adopt.html.

We adopt to homes in Indiana and nearby states only. We do NOT ship our animals.
